Seeking a Principal System Engineer desiring a challenging and rewarding opportunity. This challenging position will focus on Linux and Solaris related programs with the opportunity to support our enterprise Linux and Solaris environment.
The following will be performed in support of this objective:
Display a comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of Unix Administration concepts, practices and procedures
Exhibit in-depth information system security skills in planning and implementation of complex application, network, and system changes while supporting continuous availability of a large production payment processing environment
Experience in applying “Best Practice” experience in designing the right mix of technology and tools to ensure an effective strategy in delivering optimum results
Exhibit competence to work on highly complex assignments and perform a full range of technical support activities
Become a member of a quick-response user-support team and can regularly work under demanding deadlines, operating independently to resolve production problems
Must work equally well independently and jointly with the team

Experience supporting network devices, systems, applications and databases
Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client/server environments
Experience with Apache HTTP
Ability for minimal travel
24x7 on-call support
PREFERRED:
Experience with Network, SAN, Veritas, Oracle's ASM/CRS, Enterprise Provisioning, and Load Balancer technologies a plus
Prior experience as a technical team lead
