Build scalable, highly available web applications on top of eBay application infrastructure. This role is for a strong software engineer who loves software development and dealing with challenges related to high traffic volume, scalability and customer experiences.
Lead a development team, working from different locations around the globe, partner with business, product manager & QA to architect, design, and implement world class ecommerce product.
Estimate engineering effort, create detailed technical design documents, conduct design review and meet realistic implementation schedule.
Work closely with other engineers, architects, development managers, product managers, QA and operations to deliver right solution that meets business needs.
Drive architectural decisions, product planning and overall management during development, testing, roll-out and maintenance.
Partner with business on opportunity assessment, build prototype, test ideas, define product roadmap in an agile environment.
Take ownership in addressing customer issues, operational challenges and provide technical leadership in defining product requirement.

BS in Computer Science or related field from a reputable university
Masters Degree in Computer Science is a plus
10 years experience in requirements analysis, design, coding and testing of web applications in a Windows/Unix development environments
4+ years of experience as a lead developer in architecting and developing scalable, distributed web applications in Java.
Expertise required in object-oriented design methodology and service oriented architecture.
Strong Experience in working with teams across different geographical locations.
Skilled in debugging, trouble shooting application and solid database knowledge.
Analytical, strong problem solving and ability to thrive under pressure
Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus in a high velocity, high quality environment
