Job Description
With over 210 million accounts worldwide, PayPal, a fully owned subsidiary of eBay is the world’s standard for online payments. The PayPal Financial Planning & Analysis group is seeking a manager to provide leadership and expertise to the organization, with a focus on transaction expense management for PayPal Europe, and PayPal North America in a supporting basis. With a solid understanding of the payments industry, coupled with a thorough understanding of finance, this individual contributor position will lead efforts to develop a view of the transaction processing costs needed by our global and regional offices, enhance the reporting and forecasting of transaction processing costs and provide expert advice and guidance to management on the cost implications of key business initiatives. This role is cross functional in scope, working very closely with regional FP&A teams, Global Core Payments group (also known as GCP group, responsible for designing and managing the payment mechanisms and partnerships that enable the movement of monies into and out of the PayPal system) that are both in Headquarters as well as in regions, regional business management teams, product teams, and finance leadership. Lead for financial planning, analysis, and communication to senior management on transaction expense for PayPal Europe. Assist existing team member to support North American market. (75 percent time) Create standard reporting to improve insights and visibility to transaction expense key drivers, and/or other special projects (25 percent time) BA or BS degree from a leading undergraduate institution and a top academic performer track record is required. MBA, CFA, CPA or advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of 4 years work experience in a relevant field, within a high growth company with minimum supervision. Prefer experience from payment/financial services, or other highly analytical markets. A solid understanding of the global payments market is highly desired. Significant experience and demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting, forecasting and / or analytics. Proficient in modeling and automation using Excel. Use of SQL/VBA and Essbase are pluses. Candidate should be prepared to talk through prior quantitative analysis examples.

A proven independent worker, with experience in establishing new functions and processes within a complex and rapidly challenging business.
