Job Description

PayPal is seeking a technical writing manager with a strong background in managing technical writing teams, who has written a range of technical material, including writing for API developers. The technical writing manager is expected to manage a group of experienced technical writers and to become expert in PayPal developer and merchant products.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of technical writers
  • Lead the team to create best in class technical documentation
  • Ensure DITA is implemented in all documents and that content can be delivered in a range of formats including web pages and pdfs
  • Generate enthusiasm and keep morale high in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Liaise with different departments, including engineering, product management and user experience, to ensure the technical writing role and purpose is understood and appreciated
  • Manage the technical writing workload – ensure that all new products are documented
  • Implement key metrics to measure the success of the documentation

Job Qualifications

·         Excellent oral, written, and editing skills

·         Experience managing technical writing projects for web delivery
