PayPal Finance Manager, San Jose, CA

The candidate will be responsible for PayPal North America Merchant Services business. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn the the fast growing PayPal  businesses and develop relationships with cross-functional teams such as PayPal North America BU, and respective analytics and finance teams.

Specific responsibilities include:

-- Providing guidance to the business and perform financial analysis to support business cases
-- Understand business drivers and financial implications 
-- Provide weekly / monthly / quarterly financial reporting and variance explanation.-- Provide management with timely, accurate, and insightful financial and analysis to monitor financial results and enable key strategic decision-making.-- Provide project-based or ad hoc analysis upon request from business units; build financial models or other analytical tools to guide business decisions.-- Work closely with other finance functions (Financial Planning & Reporting / Accounting) in compiling financial reporting and derive business insights for the executive team-- Assist on providing guidance for business expansion, new product offerings, and business process changes.

Job Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of 8+ years finance experience in a medium/large company environment. MBA degree and financial services company experience are preferred

 

·        Strong analytical and problem solving skills with superb attention to detail. Experience with ROI analysis and creating business cases 

·        Experience in building financial models with high degrees of forecasting accuracy.

·        Strong excel skills and macro writing.

·        Experience with database products, especially Essbase(Hyperion) and Microstrategy; SQL skill a strong plus.

·        Effective communication & interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with cross-functional team.
