Job Description

The Director HR Business Partnerwill provide strategic consultative services to Business Leaders and Executives in PayPal Technology on human capital needs to enable delivery of business objectives and will be focused in three main areas; People Strategy & Organizational Effectiveness, Change Leadership & Coaching and Senior Executive Employee Relations Support.
 
Core Role and Responsibilities:
 

  • Engage in the business strategy assessment and review, contribute to the business strategy by helping leaders to identify where their organization can and should invest resources to increase business performance.
  • Facilitate effective people strategy development discussions with the management team and support line managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the function/business strategy
  • Provide expertise to architect and facilitate effective organizational design & development that enables business results
  • Translate and implement defined HR strategies into regionally / locally applicable action plans, liaise and consult with the Centers of Excellence to achieve particular needs of the business.
  • Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR operational plan and participate in functional and cross-functional Initiatives
  • Coach individual business leaders to increase their performance and ensure that a strong leadership and coaching culture permeates the organization
  • Be well-positioned to anticipate change, influence and support organizational change initiatives call out change impacts and the need to plan for it, design and apply change management strategy
 

Job Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree; and an advanced degree is preferred. SHRM qualification or equivalent also preferred.
 
Qualified candidates will have at least 12 years of HR experience with deep expertise in the areas of organizational behavior, change management, business planning, policy implementation, people strategy development and program management.  
 
          Excellent client management skills including consulting, communication, and implementation
          Strong business acumen - extensive knowledge of the business, a clear understanding of market trends, competition, company policies, procedures and culture
          Strategic agility and thinking - vision for how the organization can perform and win in the marketplace now and in the future, can develop competitive HR strategies and plans linked to the business strategy, ability to develop clear, actionable in support of the people strategy
          Ability to build partnerships with executive level leadership, mid-level managers, and front-line employees
          Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
          Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated effective listening and questioning skills
          Thought leader in global HR trends; knowledge of HR trends in the industry

          Team player - influencing and working with colleagues
