Job Description


  • Lead the development technology and automation strategy for the Internal Audit team and delivery of key plans that increases the effectiveness and productivity of the Internal Audit function and the value Internal Audit provides to our company.
  • Provide management with guidance on cost-effective options that could allow us to perform more robust data analysis projects (e.g., outsourcing or co-sourcing)
  • Work with IT teams to maintain the tools and automation infrastructure to meet the performance, capacity and security requirements of the department. 
  • Provide training on Internal Audit tools, processes and standards
  • Provide data analytics expertise to audit teams during audit planning and fieldwork to help focus the teams on performance of effective testing techniques which will improve the results of the audit by:  expanding audit testing coverage, developing reusable and repeatable analytical techniques, and provide the ability to perform continuous audit monitoring on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop effective, collaborative working relationships throughout eBay Inc with system owners, data repository managers, data architects, business analytics teams, business process owners and information security throughout the eBay Inc company
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the business models and operations of each business unit
  • Be actively engaged in the Internal Audit and automation tools communities
  • Document key tools and automation processes to build a departmental knowledgebase
  • On as needed basis, the tools and automation team member will be embedded with or will lead internal audit project teams to assist with execution of fieldwork for Finance, IT, Integrated, Operational or Compliance audits.
  • Work with other control functions to determine if Internal Audit tools can provide an automated solution to monitor exceptions.

    Communicates relevant information to an audience in a clear, concise, compelling manner
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data repositories including Teradata data warehouse, MS SQL, Oracle databases, and ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Knowledge of implementation of enterprise risk governance tools such as Archer is preferred.
    Proven ability to develop and deliver training on audit processes and tools including ACL and Risk Governance tools.
  • Ability to document audit procedures and training materials.
  • Strong data analysis skills using ACL and other business analytics tools such as SQL and SAS
